Honda's CB500X is now the NX500 with a sleek new look.

Honda is shaking up the middleweight adventure tourer category with the revised CB500X, now rebranded as the NX500. The NX in the name stands for 'New X-over' in marketing terms. The 2024 model features a major redesign in terms of styling and aesthetics.

The bike gets a refreshed fascia with a larger windscreen and a new LED headlight unit, giving it a more impressive road presence. The size of the fairing has been increased and the taillights have received a new styling update. The overall weight has been reduced due to the use of lighter wheels. Upgraded features include a new five-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth capability.

Under the hood, the 471cc parallel-twin engine has been tweaked for better performance, including the addition of crank counterweights and balancer shafts. Despite these improvements, power output remains stable at 47bhp. The suspension has been tuned for better handling both on and off-road.

Expected to arrive in the Indian market early next year, the NX500 is set to replace the CB500X. However, given the possibility of discrepancies seen with the outgoing model, pricing may be a matter of consideration. Honda enthusiasts can expect an exciting blend of style and performance with the new NX500.
