4 New Cars Launching in the Next 5 Weeks

Last year was thrilling for the automotive industry, and this year holds the promise of equal excitement with several new products preparing for launch.

1. Mahindra XUV 3XO:

The Mahindra XUV300, despite its potential, faced neglect from customers due to the lack of significant updates over the past five years. However, Mahindra seems to have rectified this with the upcoming XUV 3XO. While not a generational update, it brings substantial upgrades, including a modernized front and rear fascia and significant enhancements to the interior and features list to match its competitors. Mechanically, it will retain the same three engines, but there are rumors of a switch from the AMT to a Torque Converter unit for the automatic transmission, aiming to boost sales.

2. New Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift:

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift, already launched in Japan, is set to hit Indian shores soon. With a brand-new interior inspired by the Fronx and subtle exterior tweaks, the new Swift promises an exciting update. It's anticipated to feature a new 1.2-liter 3-cylinder NA petrol engine, possibly with mild or strong hybrid options alongside the existing transmission choices of 5-speed manual and AMT.

3. Jeep Wrangler Facelift:

Jeep India recently revealed its plans for the upcoming year, including a refresh for the iconic Jeep Wrangler. The facelifted Wrangler sports a sleeker blacked-out grille, 17-inch wheels with off-road tires, and various roof options. Inside, it boasts a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected tech features, Trails Offroad guide, powered front seats, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. While the powertrain options are expected to remain unchanged for the Indian version, the Wrangler facelift promises an enhanced driving experience.

4. 5-Door Force Gurkha

Force Motors has started showing teasers for the upcoming Gurkha and this time it will not only be launching the 5-door version, but it will be updating the 3-door version as well. As of now, the teaser shows that the Gurkha will be upgraded to an all-digital instrument cluster that will include a TPMS system as well. It will also get a new touchscreen infotainment system that will enable wireless smartphone connectivity, and the teaser also reveals that the 5-door version will be offered in a 7-seat configuration as well.

The 5-door version will be based on the same ladder frame chassis as the 3-door version albeit with an elongated wheelbase and a new set of alloy wheels. The powertrain is expected to remain the same 2.6-litre Mercedes-Benz sourced diesel engine with a slight bump in power and torque to carry the extra load with ease.
