The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has issued a commuter advisory due to ongoing construction work by the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) along the southern section of the Outer Ring Road (ORR). BMRCL has initiated work to lay a 220 kV cable along the metro line, starting from Salarpuria Soft Zone on the Ibbalur service road towards Centro Mall, Bellandur.

The construction work is scheduled to take place daily from 11 pm to 6 am for a period of 20 days, starting from May 1, as per the announcement by the traffic police.

As a result of this disruption on the 620-metre stretch of the road, the traffic police anticipate slow-moving traffic on the main road. However, they have clarified that major congestion issues are not expected during peak traffic hours in the daytime.

The advisory warns commuters of Slow moving traffic from Ibbalur towards Bellandur due to BMRCL cable laying Construction Work (11 PM - 6 AM everyday).
