Pimpri Chinchwad, April 11, 2024: During the nine-day period from April 1 to 9, 2024, coinciding with the festival of Gudi Padwa, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Sub-Regional Transport Office (RTO) recorded 5,588 vehicle registrations, resulting in a revenue of ₹37,40,26,000 for the RTO.

Traditionally, Gudi Padwa sees an uptick in purchases of houses, gold, and vehicles. This year was no different, with many individuals opting to buy vehicles on this auspicious day, leading to a surge in vehicle registrations. Of the total registrations, 3,044 were two-wheelers, 1,835 were cars, and 175 were e-vehicles. Deputy Regional Officer Atul Aade provided further insights, revealing that among the purchases were 135 two-wheelers, 35 cars, and 5 other types of vehicles.

To attract customers and stimulate sales during the festival, vehicle dealers offered enticing schemes, including complimentary helmets and accessories with two-wheeler purchases.
