Toyota introduces top-spec non-hybrid variant, Innova Hycross GX (O).

Toyota has announced the introduction of the Toyota Innova Hycross GX (O) a new top-tier trim positioned above the GX variant offering an array of additional features and equipment.

The Innova has long been one of the most sought-after premium MPVs in the country. With the launch of the Innova Hycross Toyota is elevating its MPV offerings to a new level providing a larger product than the Innova Crysta. The company aims to boost sales of the Hycross with the introduction of the new top-spec GX (O) trim for non-hybrid variants.

Currently the hybrid powertrain option seems to be more popular. However the launch of the GX (O) trim for non-hybrid powertrain variants may increase interest in these models. The features expected in this trim have been listed on the website.

Presently Toyota offers the GX VX ZX and ZX (O) trim levels for the Innova Hycross. The GX and GX (commercial only) come with a non-hybrid powertrain while the VX ZX and ZX (O) variants are equipped with a hybrid powertrain. The new top variant for the non-hybrid Innova Hycross will be available in both 7-seater and 8-seater configurations.

Toyota has not yet disclosed the pricing details. However with the introduction of the GX (O) trim buyers will have more options to choose from to meet their specific requirements.

The additional features in the GX (O) trim compared to the GX variant include single-zone automatic climate control rear sunshade rear defogger dual-tone interior LED fog lamps front parking sensors and more. The standout feature inside the cabin is the large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a 360-degree surround camera feed.

The starting price for the Innova Hycross is Rs. 19.77 lakh for the base GX trim (non-commercial) with a non-hybrid powertrain and Rs. 30.68 lakh for the ZX (O) trim with a hybrid powertrain.

Toyota has introduced the new top-spec trim for non-hybrid powertrain variants with complete pricing details expected to be revealed soon. The Innova Hycross is offered with a 2.0L petrol engine producing 173 bhp and 209 Nm of torque in non-hybrid form paired with a CVT transmission. The top-spec hybrid variants feature a 2.0L petrol hybrid powertrain generating a combined output of 184 bhp and 188 Nm of torque. The Innova Hycross boasts an impressive fuel efficiency of 23.24 km/l with the hybrid powertrain. Top-spec trims also come with features like ADAS a panoramic sunroof and a powered ottoman for the second row.
