Delhi to Vadodara by road now only takes 10 hours.

  • The road journey from Delhi to Vadodara will now take only 10 hours, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the second section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to Gujarat on October 2. The cost of this Delhi-Vadodara Expressway project is approximately Rs 11,895. Crore and very less. The distance between the two cities ranges from 1,000 kilometers to 845 kilometers.

    This new expressway route passes through Sohna, Dausa, Lalsot, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ratlam, Dahod and Godhra. It is an eight-lane expressway with a maximum speed limit of 120 kmph, ensuring smooth traffic flow. Apart from increasing connectivity between Delhi and Vadodara, it also improves access to Jaipur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Ahmedabad, as confirmed by a Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) official.

    Additionally, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, spanning 1,386 kilometres, is set to reduce travel time between the two capitals to just 12 hours. Expected to be completed by February 2024, the massive project costing around Rs 1 lakh crore will connect Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
