According to Cruise Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kyle Vogt, the self-driving technology division of General Motors plans to begin providing driverless trips in Phoenix, Arizona, and Austin, Texas, within the next ninety days. Additionally, Vogt stated at a Goldman Sachs conference that Cruise hopes to reach $1 billion in revenue by 2025.

Cruise began charging for autonomous vehicle rides in San Francisco in June, utilizing a limited fleet of Chevrolet Bolt electric cars. With a goal to expand operations next year, Vogt said its businesses in Austin and Phoenix will start off modest and "Revenue-generating."

According to Cruise, he has all the licences required to use the autonomous cars for ride-hailing and delivery services in Phoenix.
