Sokudo Electric launches budget e-scooter in Gujarat

Sokudo Electric India has rolled out its latest non-RTO two-wheeler model, the Plus, in Gujarat, aiming to capture 10-15% of the state's non-RTO market in the inaugural year, with a monthly target of 10,000 units.

The Plus model, priced around Rs. 59,889, boasts advanced safety features and a smart BMS, catering to riders seeking safe, sustainable, and affordable mobility solutions. Designed to bridge the gap in the availability of Make in India products in the non-RTO vehicle segment, Sokudo Electric India aims to achieve significant sales in Gujarat, tapping into the state's growing EV market.

Equipped with a range of 105 km per charge and powered by an advanced LFP battery, the Plus model features a CANbus speedometer for monitoring battery status. Compliant with AIS 156 Part 2 norms for rider safety, the electric scooter offers a comprehensive warranty, extending to multiple components. The manufacturer has utilized locally sourced materials to support the Indian EV manufacturing ecosystem.

Mr. Prashant Vashishtha, Founder and CMD of Sokudo Electric India, highlighted the Plus model's affordability and advanced features, catering to a wide range of customers. The new launch aligns with the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 and the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission, with Sokudo Electric India focusing on enhancing its product line and introducing new technological upgrades.
