New Ampere NXG Electric Scooter Coming April 30

Ampere Electric has been actively testing its latest electric scooter, the Ampere NXG, for several months. This scooter, built on a new platform, is touted as the company's most high-end electric scooter to date. Following extensive testing, the company is gearing up to launch the scooter on April 30.

It's anticipated that the Ampere NXG will be named the Nexus, based on a trademark filed by the company a few months ago. Previous sightings of test mules have revealed intriguing details about the scooter.

The design of the new Ampere appears to target family-oriented buyers, with large yet subtly styled body panels lacking sharp or sporty creases. This clean and straightforward design is likely to appeal to those seeking a family-friendly scooter.

The spacious dimensions translate to a lengthy seat and generous legroom on the scooter's footboard, providing ample space for two adults.

In terms of features, the scooter is expected to include all-LED lights, a TFT display with potential Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.

Regarding the chassis, an underbone frame is anticipated, with a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The scooter will ride on 12-inch alloy wheels, with a front disc brake marking a first for Ampere.

This new scooter holds significant importance for the company as it aims to carve out a substantial share of the electric scooter market. However, it faces strong competition from recently launched models such as the Ather Rizta and the Ola S1X, which recently received a significant price reduction.
