In the next eight months, 16 National Highways will have 810 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations constructed along them. The EV market in India will expand rapidly when combined with incentives offered by state governments and the federal government under various programmes.
According to the official announcement, these charging stations would be installed along many expressways, including the Agra-Nagpur Expressway, Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR) Expressway, Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway, Ahmedabad-Vadodara Highway, and Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
Convergence Energy Service Ltd (CESL) and private businesses collaborated to create these charging stations, which will be maintained and operated by the investing firm. 590 stations will reportedly be 50 kW, while 220 stations will be 100 kW.
