The unveiling date for the Aprilia RS 457 in India is now confirmed

Aprilia India is preparing to unveil its latest and most affordable motorcycle, the RS 457, on September 20. Official prices will be announced later, with bookings expected to begin soon after.

The RS 457 is based on Aprilia's RS 660 and features a split LED headlight, clip-on handlebar and rear-set footpegs for a sporty riding position. It is powered by a 457cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 47bhp, mated to a six-speed gearbox and quickshifter. The bike comes with ABS, switchable traction control, ride-by-wire and three ride modes.

Other features include full LED lighting, a TFT screen with optional Bluetooth connectivity, adjustable USD front fork, a monoshock and single front and rear discs. It will compete with the likes of KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300, Ninja 400 and the upcoming Yamaha YZF R3, which are expected to be priced at Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
