The six-lane NH-275 Bengaluru-Nidaghatta section project holds a lot of promise: Nitin Gadkari

Nitin Gadkari, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, has stated that the new India intends to construct the greatest infrastructure in the world. The minister stated in a series of tweets that the six-lane project of the Bengaluru Nidaghatta Section of NH-275 is proceeding quickly and would give many advantages to the people. "The New India of the Twenty-First Century is committed to constructing the world's greatest infrastructural facilities. With this in mind, the project for the Six Lanning of Bengaluru Nidaghatta Section of National Highway-275 (NH-275) is moving forward with many promises," the minister said in a series of tweets.

It should be noted that this segment of NH-275 runs from the junction near Panchamukhi Temple in Bangaluru to Nidahatta. The minister also stated that the project is critical for tourism and the economy because it travels through the cities of Bidadi, Channapatana, and Ramanagara. Notably, these three towns are home to Asia's largest silk cocoon market. While these towns are also home to Asia's only vulture sanctuary, NH-275 will also connect Srirangapatna, Mysore, Ooty, Kerala, and Coorg.

In addition, while the trip time will be reduced from three hours to 90 minutes, it will also assist to minimize fuel usage and carbon impact. Gadkari also stated that great attention has been paid to road safety, including the elimination of at-grade junctions and the provision of vehicular underpasses/overpasses to control accidents, among other measures.

The initiative, according to the minister, would also help to decrease traffic congestion. The project would protect the health, ecology, and road safety of towns such as Bidadi, Ramnagara, Channarayapatna, Maddur, Mandya, and Srirangapatna along a 51.5 kilometer stretch. He went on to say that his ministry, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is working hard to finish various projects around the country and provide wealth to the people.
