Due to a lack of printer cartridges and blank cards, the Indore Regional Transport Office (RTO) is seeing an increase in the pendency of issuing driving licences and vehicle registration cards.
Indore RTO prints and issues 1,000 driving licences and vehicle registration cards on average, but this one of the important routine works has come to a halt for the past week, according to official sources, who added that the office running out of printer cartridges and blank cards is the simple reason that is causing inconvenience to many people as the pendency to process their applications is only increasing.
Some applicants have also filed complaints with top RTO officials about delays in providing driving licences and registration cards, but to no effect, since a scarcity of printer cartridges and blank cards has been recorded for at least the third time in the previous few months.
According to RTO Jitendra Raghuvanshi, the office has alerted the Transport Commissioner about the difficulties in producing cards and is seeking appropriate solutions. Apart from that, the senior RTO officials who are accused of carelessness on the side of Smart Chip Company's employees.
