Ola Electric, a prominent two-wheeler manufacturer, has expanded its e-scooter range with 5 new offerings priced from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The recently introduced S1 lineup has garnered an impressive response, amassing over 75,000 advance bookings in just two weeks, and the numbers continue to rise.
A company spokesperson expressed their excitement, stating, "We're delighted with the enthusiastic reception for our new S1 lineup. Our focus is on driving India's electrification leadership. With our revamped scooter range, including the S1 Pro, S1 X portfolio, and the newly launched S1 Air, opting for internal combustion engine products is no longer necessary."
Ola highlights the cost benefits of its S1X model, claiming users can save around Rs 2,600 monthly and Rs 30,000 yearly in terms of maintenance and fuel. The brand asserts that customers choosing the S1X can recover the vehicle's cost within three years. For those opting for the S1 Air, potential savings are estimated at Rs 1,900 per month, equating to nearly Rs 23,000 annually.
Furthermore, Ola introduced three variants of the S1X – S1 X+, S1 X (2kWh), and S1 X (3kWh) on August 15. Both the S1 X+ and S1 X (3kWh) models feature a 3kWh battery pack, providing a claimed range exceeding 150 km. These e-scooters are equipped with a 6kW motor and can achieve a top speed of 90kph.
