Following MoRTH's approval of Rs.1684 Crore for projects, RCD will construct two sections of NHs.

The officer added that the tenders for both projects would be floated next month in order to engage the construction firm for that. The officer stated that the RCD would construct the road and the MoRTH would bear all costs associated with land acquisition and civil work.

The MoRTH explicitly stated in its letters of clearance of the project estimates that the projects must be finished within two years of the date the work was awarded and that there will be no additional time allowed.

After the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) approved the project estimates, the long-awaited Bhagalpur-Hansdiha and Barbigha -Jamui Godda stretches of the national highways are now ready to be built, according to a senior officer of the state Road Construction Department (RCD) on Sunday.

The officer added that the tenders for both projects would be floated next month in order to engage the construction firm for that. The officer stated that the RCD would construct the road and the MoRTH would bear all costs associated with land acquisition and civil work.

The MoRTH explicitly stated that the projects must be finished within two years of the date of the work grant and that there will be no extensions to the deadline in its letters of approval of the project estimates.

According to the letters of permission, the Road Construction Department (RCD) will construct a 36.60 km stretch of NH133E in Banka using the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) method, with four lanes and a paved shoulder from Bhagalpur-Kharhara village (Dhaka More). The MoRTH has set aside 973.46 crore rupees for the purchase of property and building of the road. The letter also stipulated that the estimate would only be revised once the job had been completed to 50%.

The MoRTH also gave the go-ahead for the 62-km, two-lane, concrete shoulder NH333A project, which will run through Barbigha, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Banka, and Dhaka More (connecting Godda district to Jharkhand). This project will cost 746.73 crores.

According to the officer, six bypasses will be built along the Barbigha-Dhaka More section in the Mangobandhar, Kendua, Tolesone, Jhajha, Narganjo, and Bhaironganj localities. The complete stretch of land required for the construction of these bypasses, which will be about 20 km long, needed to be purchased.

As the Bhagalpur-Barbigha section of the NH is presently only two lanes, the district authorities of Banka and Bhagalpur must also purchase land for its construction.
