Mahindra's Scorpio-N SUV lineup consists of five variants: Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L, which are available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The base diesel variant, Z2, with manual transmission now starts at ₹13.76 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec diesel variant, the Z8L 4WD with automatic transmission, has seen a price hike of ₹2,000, priced at ₹24.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end petrol variant, the Z8L six-seater with automatic transmission, is now priced at ₹21.78 lakh (ex-showroom). The Z4E diesel 4WD variant with seven seats and manual transmission has seen the biggest price hike of ₹81,000, now priced at ₹18.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
This is the third price hike for the Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV, with the previous hikes taking place in January and April.
Under the hood, the Scorpio-N SUV offers a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission, producing 197 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. Additionally, the 2.2-litre diesel engine is available with both manual and automatic gearboxes, producing 173 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque.
The Scorpio brand, including the Scorpio-N and other SUVs, is Mahindra's best-selling model, with average sales in India exceeding 9,000 units.
Mahindra & Mahindra has recalled over 100,000 units of the XUV700 SUV due to a possible wiring issue. The Indian automaker revealed in a regulatory filing that technicians at authorized dealerships will inspect.
