Lotus Enters Indian Market with Eletre, Priced at INR 2.55 Crore

Famous British car manufacturer Lotus has made its debut in India through Exclusive Motors, its authorized representative in the country. They have launched the Electra R, which is touted to be the world's fastest dual-motor pure electric SUV with an impressive top speed of 265 kmph. This high-performance vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.95 seconds.

Lotus has indicated that Elektra prices may vary depending on options, exchange rate fluctuations and tax changes. The Lotus Eletre is priced at Rs 2.55 crore, the Eletre S is priced at Rs 2.75 crore and the Eletre R is priced at Rs 2.99 crore (all prices, ex-showroom across India). Lotus has also confirmed that the Emira mid-engine sportscar will be introduced in India next year.

The Lotus Emira will be available with two powertrain options: a 2.0L inline four-cylinder turbo engine producing approximately 360 hp paired with a DCT transmission, and a more powerful V6 supercharged engine that delivers 400 hp , which is available with both manual and automatic broadcast. The power output of the Lotus Eletre and Eletre S is 603 hp and 710 Nm of torque, with a maximum claimed range of 600 km.

The flagship Electra R produces an impressive 905 hp and 985 Nm of torque with a claimed range of 490 km. Both variants come with a 112 kWh battery pack, which allows fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a fast charger.

Other notable features of the Eletray include a Digital Cockpit cabin, real-time 3D content and experiences, advanced technology such as the Qualcomm 8155 system-on-chips, a floating one-billion-color OLED touchscreen and a range of cutting-edge technology. Edge tech, including OTA updates and Dolby Atmos sound technology.
