The number of driving test facilities will be increased by 50% beginning January 8. Currently, only one driving test for track two wheeler and four wheeler is available. It will now be much easier to obtain a driver's license. Taddev Regional Transport Service (RTO) will expand its infrastructure to accommodate 203 driving tests per day. There are currently 30 daily driving tests. As a result, you do not have to wait for test slot booking to obtain a learning license. According to sources, 12 daily stalls' learning licenses had expired and they were unable to pass the test.
According to a transport department official, the Taddev RTO had to wait for the slot because it had limited capacity for driving tests. The slot book was gone within minutes of its opening. The total daily slots for driving licence tests at Mumbai's four RTOs, Taddev, Andheri, Wadala, and Borivali, have increased by more than 5% in recent months. In 2020-21, the city's RTO conducted approximately 200 driving tests per day. That figure has now risen to 1,200.
