Apollo Tyres and Tata Power have formed a collaboration to provide public EV charging stations.

Apollo Tires and Tata Power have formed a joint venture to build public EV charging stations across India. According to the agreement, Tata Power will install Electric Vehicles (EV) charging stations at around 150 Apollo Tires locations across the country.

The move demonstrates the corporation's commitment to hastening the shift to electric automobiles. These charging stations will be installed in the Commercial and Passenger Vehicle Zones of Apollo Tires in India.

These charging stations will serve clients visiting these tire retail establishments and will be open to the public all year. Tata Power already has a large charging network in the country, With chargers ranging from Direct current (DC)- DC 001, Alternating Current (AC), Type2, Fast DC charges up to 50kwh and bus chargers up to 240kwh.

In terms of chargers at Apollo Tire locations, The company will choose the type of charger dependent on the location. Any charger installed at any outlet, However, will support charging for electric two-wheelers, Three-wheelers and four-wheelers.

Tata Power has currently implemented over 1,000 EV charging outlets under the EZ Charge brand in over 200 different cities. This facility also includes a digital platform to ensure a simple and pleasant customer experience.

The EZ charging stations provide smooth EV charging experiences for customers at a variety of public hotspots throughout the city. This includes offices, malls, hotels, retail outlets, and public access points, ensuring adequate reach to alleviate range anxiety.

Tata Power EZ Chargers come in a variety of configurations including public chargers, Captive chargers, Bus/fleet chargers, and home chargers. For EV consumer's convenience, The company additionally bundles a custom-made mobile-based application. The app assists in discovering EV charging stations, Charging EV and making online bill payments.
