Agreement for Clean Energy Solutions Signed by TATA Projects and CSIR-IIP

In order to cooperate and work together to provide clean energy solutions, TATA Projects Limited and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday.

Clean energy options, such as room-temperature biodiesel made by CSIR-IIP, will be deployed at certain of Tata Projects' active locations as part of this attempt. Additionally, the collaboration will actively investigate using the by-product Green Diesel from the projected commercial scale demonstration unit in Tata Projects' fleet and the current Drop-In Liquid Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Automotive Fuel (DILSAAF) Pilot Plant at CSIR-campus IIP's in Dehradun.

According to Vinayak Pai, managing director of Tata Projects Ltd., "as part of the Tata Group's commitment to the world, our transition to cleaner alternate energy remains at our heart, and we look at continuing collaboration between academics and industry, to identify novel paths to that aim."
