The Central Government provides numerous facilities to help businesses. The government is now ready to provide another benefit to automobile owners. It has been agreed to use this facility to issue online trade certificates and registration marks for unregistered automobiles as well. If this system is implemented, applicants for trade certificates will no longer need to visit the Regional Transport office (RTO). The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has released a draught notification proposing to change certain provisions of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 concerning certificate of commerce.
What changes in the offer
As a result of this development, any dealer or motor vehicle dealer will be able to apply for Trade Certificates and Trade Registration Marks for several types of vehicles in a single application on the same vehicle portal. He will not need to go to the workplace for this.
Validity 12 months to 5 years
Aside from that, the change allows the price to be calculated based on the number of business registration points. At the same time, the trade certificate's validity period has been extended from 12 months to 5 years. Because the certificates will be granted through an internet portal in this method, the possibility of a certificate being lost or destroyed and requiring authorization to apply for a duplicate has been eliminated.
For which vehicles trade certificate is required
Only automobiles that are neither registered nor temporarily registered require a trade certificate. Let us remind you that before today, obtaining a car trade certificate required a trip to the RTO office. People will benefit much if this idea is approved.
