Honda unveiled a number of brand-new goods at EICMA 2022. The Honda EM1 e was the most intriguing product to be unveiled from the brand, along with the Honda XL750 Transalp, an entirely new adventure tourer, and the CL500 in its Scrambler guise.
It features an electric drivetrain, as the name implies, but more crucially, it is not just any electric scooter. Honda electrified its storied Moped.
At EICMA 2022, Honda will display their all-electric moped, the EM1 e. Honda previously declared that by 2025, it will launch 10 or more electric two-wheelers, and it has already used the storied Moped platform.
The millennial and Gen-Z generations are the Honda EM1 e's main target market. It is a contemporary spin on the moped. Sometime in the middle of the next year, it will be launched to the European market. It has a flat step-through shape with headlight and DRLs made of LEDs. In addition, it has a baggage rack in the back that is evocative of the original Honda Moped. Its main applications will be in the product delivery/logistics module and intercity mobility.
This brand-new moped will it feature MoPower? Honda hasn't provided much information on the powertrain, but given that it's electric, anticipate it to be more potent than the Honda Moped that it replaces. But Honda has announced that it will include a battery system that can be swapped out, which will lessen downtime and boost convenience for its target market.
