Hero Electric, the country's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, plans to increase manufacturing capacity to five million units over the next five years to fulfil the country's rising demand for electric cars.

In the first phase, the business plans to increase production capacity to 500,000 two-wheelers at its Ludhiana (Punjab) factory by the middle of next year. Following that, the organization will establish extra capacity in a new site.
