Traffic disruptions have been reported in certain areas of Delhi and its surrounding regions as farmers march towards the national capital to protest against land acquisition policies. Despite Delhi Police denying permission for the farmers to enter the city stringent security measures have been implemented at Delhi borders.

Visuals depict heavy traffic congestion on the Delhi-Noida expressway with police barricades checking each vehicle entering the national capital. Noida Police issued a traffic advisory warning commuters of route diversions in Noida and Greater Noida including areas like Dadri Tilapata Sirsa Surajpur Rampur-Fatehpur and other routes in Greater Noida. Farmer groups in Noida and Greater Noida have been protesting since December 2023 against land acquisition by local development authorities.

To manage the farmers' protest the Delhi Police Commissionerate issued an advisory imposing restrictions on the Yamuna Expressway and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway from 7 AM to 10.30 PM today.

The traffic police advisory outlines rerouting from Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15 to Sector-06 Chowki Chowk and from Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk to Harola Chowk during this period.

To avoid traffic inconveniences drivers can use alternative routes suggested in the advisory for different traffic scenarios and potential jams on DND Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and other key routes.

For traffic originating from Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15 taking the route through Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk towards Jhundpura Chowk is recommended. Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15 via Rajnigandha Chowk is also a viable option.

In case of a traffic jam on the DND vehicles traveling from Filmcity flyover near Dalit Prerna Sthal Gate No. 02 Sector 95 on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway can use alternative routes like DND Chilla or Sector 18 climbing loop via Sector-18 16 15 through Ashok Nagar or the elevated road through Sector-60 62 NH-24.

Vehicles traveling from Jhundpura Chowk through Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk to Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15 can efficiently reach their destination via Jhundpura Chowk and proceed through Sector-8/10/11/12 Chowk.

In the event of a traffic jam on the DND drivers heading to Delhi through the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway or the MP-01 route can reach their destination via the Chilla red light.

Commuters traveling from Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk to Harola Chowk can choose multiple routes including Rohan Motors Tiraha IGL Chowk Sector01 Golchakkar Chowk or Ashok Nagar.
