2024 Toyota Fortuner Rendered with Sporty New Look

Expectations have been high for the last few months regarding the all-new Toyota Fortuner. Although the brand is yet to confirm anything officially, the third generation Fortuner is expected to make its global debut next year. Given its popularity in the domestic market, India could be one of the first countries to get a seven-seat full-size SUV.

Recently, an alleged leaked picture of 2024 Toyota Fortuner surfaced on the internet. Although the authenticity of the picture has not been confirmed, based on the leak there has been speculation about the new generation Fortuner. This rendering shows a significantly revised front fascia, with new design elements giving it a sportier look than the outgoing model.

The front end includes triple horizontal grille slats with the Toyota badge at the centre, an octagonal-shaped thick metal grille surround, sharp headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, a muscular bonnet, new fog lamps with C-shaped black housings. A flowing side profile with wheel arches, a massive greenhouse and high pillars and newly designed alloy wheels.

Other notable elements include body-coloured door handles, black pillars, a chromed window line, a nearly flat roof with strong roof rails, wraparound tail lamps, side steps and an integrated spoiler. Reports suggest that the dimensions of the upcoming Fortuner will be larger than the current model as it is likely to be based on the TNGA-F ladder frame chassis.

The 2024 Toyota Fortuner is expected to share design cues with the recently introduced new-gen Tacoma pickup truck, which could make it even sportier than shown in this rendering. Significant changes are also expected on the interiors with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, new digital cluster and redesigned center console and dashboard.

In terms of performance, the GD series diesel engines are expected to get the mild hybrid treatment. Toyota has previously showcased the hybrid-spec Hilux in Australia, and similar technology could be employed for the Indian market. The 2024 Toyota Fortuner is likely to offer a list of more advanced features focused on comfort, convenience and safety.
