The launch of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is imminent.

Royal Enfield is preparing to launch a new generation model of its Himalayan adventure tourer in India, which is expected to be released later this year. Although official details about the new Himalayan are scarce, the motorcycle has been spotted testing across the country, and there is speculation about its specifications.

The current generation Himalayan is powered by a 411 cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled engine generating 24 hp, but the new model is expected to have a larger 452 cc liquid-cooled engine with around 40 hp and 45 Nm of torque. With 6-speed gearbox. The upcoming Himalayan 450 is also expected to come with several updates, including a new LED headlamp, a larger digital instrument cluster, inverted front forks, a redesigned muffler and a new fuel tank.

The test mules featured LED turn indicators, a new rear rack and dual-purpose tires that appear a little more road-focused than the existing model. The new Himalayan is expected to be offered in various dual-tone color options.

The official unveiling of the 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to take place in November, with pricing details to follow soon after. While the current model starts at Rs 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom), the new version is likely to come with a higher price tag due to the inclusion of modern features, updated powertrain, new platform, better suspension and new technology.
