Slow Progress at RTO Chowk Causes Pune Traffic Woes

Road construction taking place in front of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) on Raja Bahadur Mill Road in Pune is causing daily traffic congestion inconveniencing commuters and prompting calls for swift project completion.

The ongoing construction has led to traffic snarls particularly during peak hours worsening travel conditions for residents especially those commuting to Pune railway station.

With only one lane open to vehicles traffic movement has significantly slowed down resulting in delays for commuters traveling from various parts of the city. Those heading towards Raja Bahadur Mill Road have reported delays while navigating from CoEP-Sangam bridge towards RTO Chowk and from Juna Bazaar Chowk towards RTO.

In response to commuter concerns Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials have assured that road works are expected to finish soon. A senior PMC official stated efforts are being made to expedite repairs and paving with instructions given to prioritize smooth vehicle movement.

However this isn't the only area with prolonged road works. The riverside road near Deccan Gymkhana has also seen unfinished construction dragging on for months adding to resident and commuter frustration.

Regular commuters have expressed dissatisfaction with the current road conditions citing concerns about uneven surfaces and poor workmanship.

Despite previous resurfacing efforts after Metro works the road remains bumpy and poses risks to motorists.

As the situation persists residents hope authorities will promptly address the issues and ensure efficient completion of road works to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance safety on Pune's roads.
