Skoda India Extends Network to 250 Touchpoints, Targets 350 by End of 2024.

Skoda Auto India has successfully expanded its network to 250 touchpoints across the country. This feat was achieved with the inauguration of a sales outlet in Gulbarga, Karnataka. This expansion is in line with Skoda's India 2.0 project, which puts greater emphasis on customer-centricity. Skoda attributes this growth to its volume-driving cars, the Kushaq and the Slavia.

Commenting on the achievement, Petr Solak, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said, “Skoda's growth strategy in India is about expanding our product range and ensuring that we are closer and more accessible to our customers. Our 250th customer touch point is a significant milestone both in terms of numbers and geographical reach. We look forward to welcoming more customers to the Skoda family and expanding our network with the aim of providing them with the safest cars in the market and to our customers. Will continue to enhance the ownership experience.

In December 2020, Skoda Auto India's network had 120 touchpoints, which increased to 175 outlets by December 2021, 205 outlets by June 2022 and over 225 touchpoints by December 2022. With the achievement of 250 touchpoints, the company now aims to reach 350. Contact point by the end of 2024.

It is important to note that not all of these touchpoints are large dealerships. Some of them are Skoda's low-cost sales and service touchpoints, which have been launched in tier 2 and tier 3 cities to further expand its network. These small outlets usually have 2- or 3-car showrooms with a 2-bay workshop.

Skoda is enhancing the buying experience for customers by introducing a fully digital showroom with immersive technologies. The company already offers a standard warranty of 4 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first, as well as a range of maintenance and warranty packages that extend up to 8 years or 150,000 km.
