Police apprehends vehicle thieves, seizes 8 bikes worth Rs 4L.

Waluj MIDC police arrested two notorious criminals on Tuesday morning when they were trying to sell a Bullet motorcycle in Ranjangaon. After this, the police seized eight motorcycles worth a total of Rs 4.16 lakh from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off, Assistant Police Inspector (API) Gautam Vavle and his team laid a trap to nab two suspects who had come to sell Bullet motorcycles in Ranjangaon. The persons identified themselves as Amit Ashok Nagre (27, Nevasa) and Sagar Kantilal Dalve (23, MHADA Colony, Gangapur). When the police requested the vehicle documents (registration number MH26, BZ1762) for the Bullet, the suspects failed to produce them. The police then checked the RTO database and found that the Bullet was registered in the name of Balaji Gurdale. On further questioning, both of them admitted to stealing the motorcycle.

The suspects were taken to the police station, where they confessed to stealing eight motorcycles from different locations. He also revealed the location where he had kept the stolen bike near Mylon Company in Waluj Industrial Estate. The total price of these vehicles was Rs 4.16 lakh. Amit is an experienced criminal specializing in vehicle theft and has 11 cases registered against him in Aurangabad and Ahmednagar districts.

The team led by Commissioner of Police (CP) Manoj Lohia, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shilwant Nandedkar and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ashok Thorat included Police Inspector Avinash Aghav, II PI Ganesh Tathe, API Gautam Vavle, PSI Deepak Rothe and many other officers took decisive action in this matter.
