Kawasaki Versys X-300 - Launch on the Horizon?

The Kawasaki Versys X-300 has been spotted testing in India hinting at a potential domestic launch. While there were no prior indications of the adventure bike coming to India the test mule resembling the global-spec model suggests the company is considering its introduction. The Versys X-300 already available internationally features typical adventure bike characteristics including a muscular tank long tank shrouds a single-piece seat and an upswept exhaust. The Indian-compliant test mule includes a saree guard large windscreen single pod headlamp and a rear luggage rack.

The mid-set foot pegs and upright rider position enhance the adventure stance. The hardware includes wire-spoke wheels telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. With a 19-inch front wheel 17-inch rear wheel and narrow tire profile the Versys 300-X may come equipped with tubed tires for a competitive price. Disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS handle the braking.

Powering the Kawasaki Versys 300-X is a 296cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine delivering 39 bhp and 26.1 Nm of torque similar to the Ninja 300. The bike is expected to launch in India in 2024 competing with models like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 KTM 390 Adventure BMW G 310 GS and Triumph Scrambler 400X. The pricing is anticipated to be competitive with its rivals.
