In Pune, a school bus inspection unveils a concerning absence of licenses for 82 vehicles.

On September 11, 2023, in Pune, a massive school bus inspection drive was conducted by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to enhance the safety of school students during their daily journey. A total of 82 vehicles were inspected during this operation, which revealed a worrying fact none of these vehicles had the required school bus license.

The inspection drive involved a collaborative effort of eight teams including Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Motor Vehicle Inspectors and Assistant Regional Transport Officers with the active participation of individuals like Yuvraj Patil and Amar Desai. Their thorough investigation revealed the disturbing reality that a large number of vehicles were transporting school students without the required school bus licence.

In response to this worrying revelation, the Regional Transport Office has issued an urgent appeal to all parents. They are urged to prioritize the safety of their children during the school commute and ensure that the vehicles used for transportation have a valid school bus license. This precautionary measure is important to ensure the well-being and safety of young students during their daily journey to school.
