Ggm section of Dwarka Expressway set to open; preparations underway.

Preparations for the inauguration of the Gurugram section of the Dwarka Expressway in March are underway, as confirmed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Gurugram administration. To facilitate the event, teams from the Gurugram administration and police conducted a site visit on Thursday, initiating logistical arrangements and evaluating security needs.

Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav stated that while an exact date had not been finalized, the inspection aimed to assess and advance preparations for the upcoming inauguration. A senior Gurugram police official, involved in the survey, shared that teams led by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav and City Police Chief Vikas Arora visited the expressway to identify potential sites for inauguration, set up a temporary helipad, and designate parking spaces for potential rallies. Confirmation of the inauguration date is pending.

NHAI officials also confirmed the development, revealing that the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated soon, with the final date pending confirmation. A senior NHAI official mentioned, "We have received directives for the inauguration of the Gurugram section of the Dwarka Expressway by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The exact date is expected to be communicated shortly, and we are in the process of preparation."

The Dwarka Expressway, with a total cost of ₹9000 crore, is divided into four packages. Packages three and four, measuring 19 km in Gurugram, are currently under construction, while packages one and two, spanning around 10 km in Delhi, are part of the ongoing project.
