Four upcoming Mahindra electric cars in the pipeline.

Mahindra is actively developing a new lineup of electric SUVs for both the Indian and global markets, labeled under the XUV.e and BE series. The launch will occur in phases, commencing with the XUV.e8 model. Additionally, the XUV300 EV is in the pipeline and is expected to hit the market by mid-2024. Although detailed specifications are currently undisclosed, test prototypes have offered key insights. Here are four upcoming Mahindra electric cars that have been spied on test in India:

1. Mahindra BE.05:
  Expected to debut in 2025, the BE.05 is Mahindra's inaugural electric SUV from the BE series. Utilizing Mahindra's born-electric INGLO skateboard platform, it is anticipated to measure around 4.3 meters in length. Offered in both 2WD and 4WD variants, the BE.05 will feature an 80 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge. Design highlights include prominent LED DRLs, flush door handles, and a coupe-SUV-like stance.

2. Mahindra XUV.e9:
  Set to launch in 2025, the XUV.e9 is built on Mahindra's born-electric INGLO skateboard platform. Recent spy shots showcase sleek LED tail lamps with a connected light strip. Interior shots reveal a triple-screen layout and a two-spoke steering wheel.

3. Mahindra XUV.e8:
  Based on the INGLO platform, the XUV.e8 is expected to debut by the end of 2024. Featuring an 80 kWh battery pack, it will produce 227-345 bhp, available in 2WD and 4WD configurations with single and dual motor setups, respectively. Spy shots reveal vertically stacked LED headlamps, full-width LED DRL, and new alloy wheel designs.

4. Mahindra XUV300 EV:
  Positioned below the XUV400, the XUV300 EV is based on the XUV300 Facelift and is expected to debut by June 2024. Equipped with a 35 kWh battery pack, it aims to compete with the Tata Nexon EV, offering an affordable electric option. The XUV300 EV is anticipated to be priced around Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
