A new Toyota car is set to launch in the next 2-3 months.

Toyota is set to introduce a familiar product as its initial offering this year. While the product already exists in the market, it will soon bear the Toyota badge. This upcoming release is a rebranded variant of the Maruti Fronx, speculated to be named the Toyota Taisor. Initially slated for a 2023 launch, Toyota has altered its plans, with the new expected release in the first half of 2024. Now, let's delve into the details of this forthcoming Toyota car.

Similar to other badge-engineered models, Toyota's version may undergo some exterior modifications compared to the Fronx. The Taisor might adopt the design of the Hyrder to maintain a cohesive family appearance. Potential changes encompass updated headlamps, eyebrow DRLs, and refreshed bumpers. The side profile is likely to remain consistent, albeit with the possibility of new alloy wheels. Rear alterations could involve new bumpers to establish a distinctive identity.

Despite these exterior adjustments, most aspects are anticipated to remain largely unchanged. The interiors are expected to stay the same, though there's a chance of new upholstery. Features, such as the 9.0-inch infotainment system, ARKAMYs sound system, wireless charging, heads-up display, and more, are expected to persist in the Taisor. The powertrain will retain the 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine (100bhp/150Nm) and the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (87bhp/113Nm). Transmission options are likely to remain consistent.

Originally slated for a late 2023 launch, the Taisor's release has been delayed. However, there is now speculation that the launch may occur in the coming months. As for pricing, the Fronx is priced between Rs 8.66 lakh and Rs 15.37 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The Taisor is expected to command a slightly higher price, around Rs 30k to 40k more than the Fronx, justified by additional warranty coverage according to Toyota's plans.
