Tata Motors introduces a line of I&LCVs and CNG-powered M&HCV trucks with ADAS.

With cutting-edge technologies to improve driving comfort, the business has added Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)Collision Mitigation System, Lane Departure Warning System, and Driver Monitoring System to its best-selling line of Prima, Signa, and Ultra trucks.

Tata Motors, the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India, debuted five CNG-powered Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) trucks on Monday in the 28 and 19 tonne nodes. The company has also added Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) - Collision Mitigation System, Lane Departure Warning System, and Driver Monitoring System to its best-selling range of Prima, Signa, and Ultra trucks with top-of-the-line features to improve driving comfort, making a significant leap in its product portfolio.

The firm has introduced a number of cutting-edge Intermediate & Light Commercial Vehicle (I&LCV) tippers and trucks to meet the changing multi-application demands, particularly of the quickly expanding infrastructure and logistics industries.

These trucks, according to Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, provide the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that includes a collision mitigation system, lane departure warning, electronic stability control, driver alerts, and tyre pressure monitoring to address the growing demand for safer transportation. With a wider selection of alternative fuel powertrains, they also provide cleaner transportation choices, he continued.

According to the business, Tata Motors' M&HCV and I&LCV line of vehicles are equipped with Fleet Edge, the newest digital fleet management technology.

These M&HCV and I&LCV trucks serve a variety of goods movement and applications across diverse sectors, including agriculture, cement, iron & steel, container, vehicle carrier, petroleum, chemical, water tankers, LPG, FMCG, white goods, perishables, construction, mining, and municipal applications, and are available in many fully-built body options of load bodies, tippers, tankers, bulkers, and trailers.

The completely new Signa CNG trucks provide the ideal blend of low operating costs, great durability, and numerous use applications leading to better profitability. These green CNG vehicles come in a variety of wheelbase and load deck length options, as well as cowl options for customising the interior.

These vehicles have a modular design, a 5.7-litre SGI engine with a proven track record, and a range of up to 1,000 km. Its peak power is 180 hp, and its peak torque is 650 Nm.

The top-of-the-line Tata Prima series has consistently raised the bar for comfort, aesthetics, safety, ergonomics, and ease of use since its inception in 2010. India's first sophisticated driver active and passive safety systems, including the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Collision Mitigation System (CMS), are now available in the new Prima. These technologies were developed with intensive validation, specifically for Indian operating circumstances. Additional safety elements offered by the vehicle include the Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

A more ergonomically built interior, best-in-class comforts, and innovations for increased driver and vehicle safety are also included in the new Prima line. These deliberate improvements were made with the aim of allowing improved efficiency, particularly during long hauls, in partnership with stakeholders throughout the whole logistics value chain. The design and engineering teams at Tata Motors worked holistically to incorporate a range of cutting-edge technology to set another new standard after conducting an in-depth research to collect inputs from transporters, drivers, and end consumers, the firm said.
