There has been talk recently that Maruti Suzuki's electric vehicle can be cost-effective. Its cost was predicted to range from Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Bhargava stated the future electric automobile will cost more than Rs 10 lakh when Moneycontrol asked him about it. At the Suzuki manufacturing facility in Gujarat, EVs will be produced; their introduction to the Indian market is anticipated for 2024 to 2025.

The pricing of the electric automobile was not disclosed by Bhargava, but he did state that it will be at least Rs 10 lakh, even if it is entirely built in India. Bhargava's remarks are made while EV offerings from manufacturers like Tata Motors and Mahindra are being rapidly expanded. MG Auto, Hyundai India, and Kia India are just a few of the businesses getting ready to introduce their electric vehicles. In total, 25 electric vehicles may be introduced to the Indian market during the next year or two.

On August 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the facility.
