IIM-A and Suzuki Motor Corp collaborate on an initiative for academia and industry

According to a press release, the IIMA-SMC relationship will begin with a faculty-led research initiative to advise SMC on its future commercial diversification plan in India and beyond.

Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), a Japanese company, and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) announced on Thursday that a collaboration agreement for research, advice, and student projects had been struck.

IIMA professors will lead a research initiative to advise SMC on their future business diversification plan in India and internationally as the foundation of the IIMA-SMC cooperation, per a press release.

"Our faculty have developed a rich library of research in the fields of strategy, mobility, and transportation, and this partnership will generate more chances for us to contribute to the world of practice," said Professor Errol D'Souza, Director of IIMA.

Over the last many decades, SMC has had a successful voyage in India and a substantial effect on the Indian economy. The collaboration would provide our students opportunities to collaborate with SMC teams on projects and learn how they have had a long-lasting influence on the Indian market, he added.

Director and Senior Managing Officer of SMC Kinji Saito stated, "We are looking forward to this new cooperation with IIMA. We anticipate the original ideas produced by this partnership."
